Who we are
Paul Schilstra
Paul Schilstra is President and Founder of
primeASCENT. Prior to starting primeASCENT, he was
Director of Marketing at Nucletron, (an Elekta
Company), a Radiation Oncology solutions provider. While at Nucletron, he created a number of programs jointly with leading physicians and
medical physicists to help radiation therapy centers improve the quality of their cancer programs, as well as to expand these programs.
Prior to his tenure at Nucletron, Paul was Senior Director for Global Services and subsequently Senior Director for Global Marketing at Siemens Healthcare. He also served as interim Chief Information Officer under contract for a number of regional healthcare systems while at Siemens Healthcare.
He has over twenty-five years of experience in U.S. healthcare and technology, with
progressive leadership and management positions in product development, consulting
and outsourcing, marketing and business development.
Paul is also the father of a daughter who survived leukemia twice over a period of sixteen
years. He learned first hand about the importance of access to excellent cancer care and
he leverages his personal experience by assessing cancer programs from the customer’s
perspective.
Paul holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. He is trained in Lean Six Sigma.
